Today Rep. Bruce Braley (D-Iowa) announced that the federal government will increase its share of disaster payments for Iowa flood relief to a 90 percent federal - 10 percent non-federal split. Typically, the federal government pays for 75 percent of eligible disaster-related costs and state and local governments pay for the remaining 25 percent.
